Student Problem 7

about
This picture shows a problem from Unit K Concept 10 which is about how to write a  repeating decimal as a rational number using geometric series. No calculator should be used. We must break the long repeated decimal into smaller sums which is circled in the picture as an example. Using that information, we will have a sub 1 and then figure out what the ratio is by taking any term and divide it by the proceeding one. This is an infinite geometric series because the numbers go forever.

What the reader needs to pay attention to
The reader should to pay attention to the steps and the descriptions because that is what will show the readers how to do the problem. The reader must have a knowledge on geometric series in order to understand the basic of this problem.

Student Problem #6: Unit J Concept 6

About: This picture is about a partial fraction decomposition with repeated factors. It is just like the last example which you basically solve the same way  only that it depends the amount degree the more steps involved.

What should the reader need to pay attention too?: Like the other example the reader needs to pay attention to the steps and when they solve for C they have to realize that that is a solution so it does not need to be solved.

Student Problem #5: Unit J Concept 5

About: This is a problem that I made up for unit J concept 5. This is a partial fraction decomposition with distinct factors and this will be helpful in Calculus for next year. To solve this problem we use algebra 2 skills to get a common denominator and do the math and simplify. Then comes the precal part with A and B. Basically we split the denominator back and put A and B on the top and find the common denominator again and solve then we identify like Ax+Bx and we look at the numerator if there is an x too and we take out the x, that is the problem you will use to plug things in. Next we get the other part like 2 and we equal it with the other numerator and solve there. We should get a= this or b= this and plug it in. Now part two with the denominator we replace a and b and we check if it is correct like the problem.

What does the reader need to pay attention to?: The reader needs to pay attention to the steps in the picture in order to understand how to do the problem. But the reader must have prior knowledge on certain Unit J material in order to understand how to do these problems otherwise this will be confusing,
